Be Honest, Your Wallet is $499 Lighter.

Ah, the Apple iPad. I told myself I wasn’t going to buy one, but the urge to create content for it was too strong. I have the feeling that many other developers are feeling the same way.

Think what sort of applications will be available on the iPad

Check out this awesome new iPhone App, Etude.

Etude is the ultimate iPhone app for learning to play music on the piano.

READ authentic, beautifully engraved sheet music.

WATCH and see the exact keys to press at each moment.

LISTEN to the music played with Etude’s built-in synthesizer.

DISCOVER and download new songs for free. Hundreds available today.

SHARE songs you’re learning with friends on Facebook and Twitter.

My first thought in seeing that gorgeous application was, “Man, I bet that would be even better on an iPad”. “If this wasn’t confined to a 480×320 pixel screen…” “If I could curl up and sit with this…” “If I could just have the onscreen keyboard be useable.”

The iPad isn’t just a “big iPod touch” (granted there is obvious similarities), it’s a whole new genre of computing.

The “killer apps” of the iPad will not look like anything we’ve ever seen before. The way we interacte with the device insures that.

Developers and content producers are going to drive this baby to the top. See you April 3rd.
